The Magic of Music

Kelsey-Seybold physicians, nurses, and cancer survivors filled the Berthelsen Main Campus Stanton P. Fischer, M.D., Rotunda with love, hope, and friendship as they celebrated Cancer Survivors Day on June 14. Over 125 attendees were inspired by the stories of two survivor speakers and uplifted by "The Magic of Music" from the renowned Phillip Hall Singers.

"We love hosting this event every year for our patients and seeing so many of our survivors here to celebrate life and support one another," said event emcee Dr. Tejash "TJ" Patel, Chief of Hematology and Oncology at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. "You're the reason why we're here – to support our survivors and to help them heal and beat cancer. As providers, we feed off of our patients. You guys feed our souls. Cancer care isn't just about the science or technology, it's about treating the whole patient. You're part of our family and our lives, too."
