Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period Starts January 1, 2025 and ends March 31, 2025!
If you changed your Medicare Advantage plan during the Open Enrollment Period but didn’t realize that Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is now out-of-network, here’s your opportunity to change back to a plan accepted at Kelsey.
During the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period:
Medicare beneficiaries can change from one Medicare Advantage plan to another Medicare Advantage plan.

Switch to another Medicare Advantage Plan with or without drug coverage. *You must currently be enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan in order to make a change during the MAOEP. Example 1 – Your current plan is Cigna Medicare Advantage but you would like access to Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. You can enroll in another Medicare Advantage plan like KelseyCare Advantage, United Healthcare (HMO), Aetna or Wellcare plans that are accepted by Kelsey. YES! You can change plans! Example 2 – You are currently enrolled in traditional Medicare and you may or may not have a supplement plan like Plan F. Unfortunately, no. You would not be eligible to join a Medicare Advantage plan during this enrollment period. |

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is contracted with several Medicare Advantage plans in the Houston area. Please see the full list of plans below. If a plan is not listed, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic does not accept that plan (even on an out-of-network basis). However, if you are interested in gaining access to Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, depending on the time of year and your situation, you may be able to change your plan to a plan that is accepted at Kelsey.
- The Annual Enrollment Period begins October 15 of each year and ends on December 7
- The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment period begins January 1 and ends March 31 (this period allows you to change from one Medicare Advantage plan to another)
- Special Enrollment Periods - Visit Medicare's website to see if you qualify for Special Enrollment Periods
Kelsey-Seybold does not accept traditional Medicare (with or without a supplement).
