Your Care Team is Growing!

At Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs), including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, are an important part of our patient’s overall care team.

APCs are directly supervised by Kelsey-Seybold physicians and work collaboratively with their supervising physician to care for their patient panel. APCs often have 30-minute schedule blocks to be able to spend more time with patients as part of their care team, and in most cases can see patients for care sooner, making sure that needs are met quickly.

If you need to be seen more urgently, and your physician is not available, you are in excellent hands with a Kelsey-Seybold Clinic APC who are directly supervised by Internal Medicine and Family Medicine physicians.

When you see an APC, you’ll be seeing someone who knows your history and physician’s philosophy of care. You can schedule appointments with them for preventive care, including physical exams, as well as sick and more acute care needs. They also assist physicians in managing chronic illnesses, performing in-office procedures, and prescribing new medications or refills.

All Kelsey-Seybold primary care doctors, specialists, and APCs work as a team and have access to your Electronic Medical Record so there is seamless coordination and communication on your behalf. And, if follow-up visits, or further consultation with one of our primary care physicians or specialists is needed, our APCs can make referrals and escalate any immediate medical concerns, so your care isn’t delayed.
