New Kingwood Clinic

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic to Build New, Standalone Multispecialty Clinic in Kingwood Area

New clinic scheduled to open in Summer 2019

Houston (April 12, 2018) – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic today announced plans to build a new, three-story facility in the Kingwood area, which will open in the summer of 2019. Kelsey-Seybold’s Kingwood Clinic will reopen in a new location, not at its former location on Lake Houston Parkway. Kelsey-Seybold will continue to see Kingwood patients at the Summer Creek Clinic located at 8233 North Sam Houston Pkwy. E, Humble, TX 77396 until the new clinic opens.

“We are thrilled to be able to announce that our plans to rebuild in the Kingwood area are beginning to take shape. Our hope is that our patients are as excited as we are that our future plans include a new, expanded, state-of-the-art facility with all of the bells and whistles,” said Sebastian Scobercea, M.D., Managing Physician, Kelsey-Seybold Kingwood Clinic. “The Kingwood area is bouncing back from the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey and it is exciting to see the tremendous progress residents and area businesses are making. Our physicians and staff are so happy to be returning to the area to continue caring for our patients in the Kingwood area.”

The new Kingwood Clinic will increase in size from 20,000 square feet to nearly 55,000 square feet, and patients will have access to an expanded capacity in primary care, including internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. In addition to the expanded capacity, Kelsey-Seybold Kingwood Clinic may add new specialties, such as pulmonary, cardiology, physical medicine and rehabilitation/spine, and optometry to an already robust list of specialties that includes allergy, endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopedics – sports medicine, and podiatry.

The new clinic will also offer new diagnostic services, 3D (Tomosynthesis) digital mammography, cardiac stress testing, and may also include mobile CT and MRI. The clinic will continue to offer X-ray, DEXA and ultrasound testing.

“While our announcement to rebuild in the Kingwood area is exciting for us and for many Kingwood area residents, we would also like to share our gratitude,” said Tony Lin, M.D., F.H.M., Chairman and Managing Director of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “We want to take this opportunity to thank our patients who have followed their physicians to our locations at Summer Creek and The Woodlands and ask for their continued patience.”

Kelsey-Seybold is currently evaluating land sites and will release details around early summer. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is committed to the Kingwood area and will provide updates as information becomes public.
