Kelsey-Seybold Announces New Clinic in Upper Kirby District
New clinic to expand access to care for residents in Upper Kirby District, Montrose, Southampton, the Museum District and Afton Oaks
HOUSTON (Nov. 30, 2023) – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic announced plans today to build a 36,000-square-foot clinic in Houston’s Upper Kirby District, expanding access to convenient, high-quality, coordinated care inside Loop 610. The upcoming Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Upper Kirby, at 3102 Kirby Drive, is near Kelsey-Seybold’s Spencer R. Berthelsen Main Campus, which offers additional highly specialized medical care, including ambulatory surgery and cancer centers.
“Making quality health care convenient for patients across Greater Houston is central to our mission of delivering value-based care,” said Tony Lin, M.D., chairman and CEO, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “The Upper Kirby District is a vibrant area that connects many smaller, densely populated communities, and our new clinic will help improve access to high-quality health care throughout the District.”
The new clinic will accommodate up to 18 providers offering internal and family medicine, and pediatrics, along with a select group of specialty services: dermatology, pulmonology, endocrinology, orthopedic and optometry. Patients can access an on-site Kelsey pharmacy, laboratory and radiology, as well as an extensive referral network for Kelsey-Seybold specialists at nearby locations.
“The Upper Kirby District clinic’s proximity to Kelsey-Seybold’s Berthelsen Main Campus helps us to connect patients with even more specialized, convenient care,” said Kenneth Janis, chief operating officer, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “Our vitality as a community is only as strong as the health of our community – and we hope our new location makes receiving high-quality care easier for the people who live and work here.”
This new clinic announcement for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Upper Kirby follows other announcements of locations recently opened or opening soon in the Central Houston area, including West University Clinic, River Oaks Clinic, Tanglewood Clinic, and Rice Village Clinic, as well as expansions of Berthelsen Main Campus and Meyerland Clinic.
