Kelsey Research Foundation Raises Record Amount at 20th Annual Golf Classic
Funds raised will benefit patient education and research programs
Houston (May 22, 2014) - On May 5, Kelsey Research Foundation scored a hole-in-one at its 20th Annual Golf Classic, raising $241,000, the most the organization has ever raised on one day in the golf tournament's history. The event was held at the Kingwood Country Club where more than 230 golfers hit the links and competed in a putting contest.
Funds raised through the Annual Golf Classic benefit Kelsey Research Foundation, the research affiliate of Houston's largest community-based multispecialty physician group, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
"In the past 20 years, the KRF golf tournament has raised millions of dollars in support of innovative research and patient education programs that benefit the community, like our breast cancer support group and health information centers that provide access to free health and wellness information." said Dr. Tony Greisinger, Executive Director of Kelsey Research Foundation. "The outstanding results at this year's tournament are a direct result of our generous sponsors, volunteers and of course the golfers who attend the event. Thanks to everyone who supported our event this year to make it a milestone year and the most successful we've had to date."
