Hunain Hassan, MD, is a board-certified hospitalist at Kelsey-Seybold. He attended Dow Medical College, earning his medical degree in 2013. Dr. Hassan went on to Rochester Regional Health/Unity Hospital to complete his internship and Internal Medicine residency in 2019 and 2021, respectively. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in August 2024.
When he was a child, Dr. Hassan was inspired to pursue medicine by the orthopedic surgeon who treated him when he fractured his arm. Now as a hospitalist, he treats patients in the hospital setting for all kinds of conditions, from regular flu and viral bronchitis up to complex conditions like heart failure and strokes. His clinical interests include treating congestive heart failure, electrolyte imbalance, and kidney problems. For Dr. Hassan, interacting with patients and seeing them get better is the best part of practicing medicine.
