Administrative Fellowship Overview
The 12-month Administrative Fellowship Program prepares early careerists for leadership roles in healthcare through direct participation in projects and rotations. These activities are designed to build and strengthen essential skills in leadership, management, and administration.
As a Kelsey-Seybold administrative fellow you will:
- Acquire and refine managerial competencies, including analytical, persuasive, and human relations skills.
- Develop an awareness and understanding of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic organizational structure and the interrelation between departments and personnel.
- Receive individualized mentoring from a wide array of directors, administrators, supervisors, and physicians.
- Establish a performance record through project work and departmental staff responsibilities.
The fellowship program provides comprehensive exposure to the nation’s first accredited Accountable Care Organization. Through rotations, strategic projects, and participation on the executive leadership team, the fellow will gain key competencies and exposure to operations, finance, strategic planning, and leadership. Other opportunities include management experience and internal Kelsey-Seybold departmental rotations based on the fellow’s needs and interests.
The Vice President of Operations serves as the preceptor for the program. Additionally, other members of the executive leadership team provide support and guidance throughout the year.
