Tyler Young, MD, earned his Bachelor of Science in bioengineering at Rice University in Houston before earning his Master of Science in biomedical engineering at Virginia Tech – Wake Forest University in Blacksburg in 2013. He then completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in 2019, followed by his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) in 2023, serving as administrative chief resident his final year. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in September 2023.
Dr. Young was inspired to become a physician through his interest in science, his love of working with his hands, and his desire to empower and support patients on their healthcare journeys. He provides comprehensive obstetrical care and well woman care, working with patients on health concerns such as abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, sexually transmitted infections, hormonal therapy, and menopause symptoms. His clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecology, high- and low-risk obstetrical care, family planning, and LGBTQ+ healthcare. His favorite part of practicing medicine is building relationships with and supporting patients through some of the most exciting or challenging moments of their lives.
