Scott Armond Larson, MD, PhD, studied at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, earning his medical degree in 2008. He then completed his internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, in 2009 and 2011, respectively, followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Medicine in Galveston in 2014. Dr. Larson also holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from UTMB and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Stephen F. Austin State University. He joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2025.

As a board-certified gastroenterologist, Dr. Larson see patients for a wide variety of gastrointestinal needs, including GERD, reflux, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, colon cancer screenings, abnormal liver tests, hepatitis C, H. pylori, Celiac disease, peptic ulcer disease, colon cancer screening, and constipation. As someone who truly enjoys caring for people, Dr. Larson always ensures his patients’ needs come first.

Dr. Larson prioritizes listening as a foundation for providing patient-centered care. For him, the needs of the patient come first. That is why he strives to treat them with respect, integrity, and compassion.

Hobbies and Interests

When not caring for patients, Dr. Larson enjoys getting together with family, traveling, and spending time on the water by boating and fishing.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Larson’s clinical interests include conducting colon cancer screenings and treating patients for GERD, reflux, and constipation.
