Dr. Rebekah Montes completed her Doctor of Optometry in 2015 and a residency in community-based family practice optometry in 2016 at the University of Houston College of Optometry. She went on to serve as a clinical assistant professor at the UH College of Optometry for four and a half years. Dr. Montes is passionate about serving those in need and volunteers her time as a board member for local non-profit organizations.

Dr. Montes is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. She joined Kelsey-Seybold in January 2021.

Fun Facts

The best advice Dr. Montes has ever received came from her mother, who told her: “Don’t worry about what other people think of you. Five years from now it won’t matter.”

The most exotic/interesting place she has visited is Southeast Asia, where she visited Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.

Not everyone knows this about Dr. Montes, but she can play any song by ear on the violin.
