Dr. Nathani earned his medical degree at the Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1987. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He did an additional year of general Hepatology at the same institution and earned the title of Chief Fellow.

Dr. Nathani is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Nathani joined Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in 2007 and currently serves as Chief of Gastroenterology and Medical Director of the Ambulatory Surgical Center in Spring.

He has authored several publications and national presentations in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Additional Academic Positions

Before joining Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, Dr. Nathani served as the Division Chief of Gastroenterology at the Regional Academic Health Center, Internal Medicine Residency Program in Harlingen, Texas for seven years. Dr. Nathani served as the Chief of GI/Pulmonary department and the Endoscopy center at the Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was awarded Best Teacher Award by the Internal Medicine residents and has also received numerous recognition awards. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the Baylor College of Medicine at Houston.

Hobbies & Interests

Dr. Nathani enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He loves cricket and racquetball. He loves to read and write poetry. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi.​
