Dr. Maygen del Castillo is a fellowship-trained Cardiology specialist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in chemistry in 2011 from New York University. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in New York in 2015. She completed her Internal Medicine residency in 2018 and her Cardiology fellowship in 2021, both at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

The best advice Dr. del Castillo has ever received is “Stay curious and never stop asking questions.”
The most exotic place she has visited is Costa Rica.
Not everyone knows this about Dr. del Castillo, but she grew up in Taiwan, spending the first 18 years of her life there before moving to the United States. She played on the high school varsity volleyball team as a setter and libero and competed against other international schools in East Asia, including Japan, Korea, and the Philippines.
Dr. del Castillo’s guilty pleasure is French fries – “anytime, anywhere, any kind!”
