After graduating from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, Dr. Espitia completed his internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 2005. In 2014, he earned his Master of Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Awards & Publications
Dr. Espitia has been recognized with a prestigious national certification for excellence in caring for diabetic patients, awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Certification through NCQA’s national Diabetes Recognition Program comes after a comprehensive, individualized review process to verify a physician’s adherence to national standards of excellence in caring for patients diagnosed with diabetes.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Espitia enjoys traveling abroad, running and spending time with his family and two daughters.
