After completing his medical degree in 1990, Hassan A Javanshir, MD, went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York in 1997, followed by a Neurology residency at the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) in 2001. He also completed a Neurophysiology fellowship at Tulane University in 2003. Dr. Javanshir joined Kelsey-Seybold’s Neurology department in January 2024.

With a passion for science of the human body as his primary motivator for practicing medicine, Dr. Javanshir sees patients to treat and manage a variety of diseases and conditions of the nervous system, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, palsies, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and cerebrovascular disease. In his practice, Dr. Javanshir most enjoys making a deep, impactful difference in someone else's life.

Hobbies & Interests

When not at the clinic, Dr. Javanshir unwinds by listening to classical music. He also enjoys travel, history, and playing table tennis.
