Dr. Fayyaz Ahmed is a fellowship-trained rheumatologist and geriatrics specialist. He’s board certified in Internal Medicine and specializes in Rheumatology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1989. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York in 1996. He then completed his fellowship training in Rheumatology at State University of Stony Brook in New York in 1999. He completed his fellowship training in Geriatrics at Tulane University Medical in New Orleans in 2000.

Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold in September 2020, Dr. Ahmed served as a consultant rheumatologist in the Orthopedics department at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Dr. Ahmed enjoys reading literature, writing poetry, traveling, and playing the flute.

Fun Facts

The best advice Dr. Ahmed has ever received is: “Be yourself!” The most exotic places he has visited are Peru and Tibet. As a child, he wanted to become a pilot because he was fascinated by the idea of flying the skies.
