Dwane Broussard, MD, attended Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, completing his medical degree in 1993. He went on to complete an internship and Family Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1996. Dr. Broussard joined Kelsey-Seybold as a board-certified Family Medicine physician in February 2025.
Growing up in a small town in Louisiana, Dr. Broussard was inspired to pursue medicine by his family doctor. In his practice, Dr. Broussard’s goal is to treat the entire person, listen to their concerns, and create a treatment plan that they are comfortable with. He provides primary care for patients of all ages, focusing on overall well-being through preventive care and treating acute and chronic conditions. These include ear infections, joint pain, flu and other viruses, high blood pressure, and more. Dr. Broussard considers it an honor to treat patients and to be there for them when they need him.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Broussard builds trust through active listening, which helps him understand how patients they are feeling, listen to their concerns, and create the best possible treatment plans. He recognizes that it is important to care for the entire person, mind and body. Above all, Dr. Broussard realizes what a special role he has in the lives of his patients and does his best to care for them.
Hobbies and Interests
In his free time, Dr. Broussard enjoys sports and travel. To relax, he loves being outdoors and believes that nothing beats a day of fishing.
