Dr. Carisa Liew is a fellowship-trained neurologist. She’s board-certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and specializes in Neurology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth in 2009. She completed her residency in Neurology at the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital in 2013. She then completed her fellowship training in Neurophysiology, with a focus on epilepsy, at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2014.

Prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold in February 2021, Dr. Liew served as a neurologist at Houston Methodist Hospital, where she was director of EEG/epilepsy services.

Dr. Liew enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with family.

Fun Facts

The best advice Dr. Liew has ever received is: “Live in the present and be grateful for what you have.”

The most interesting place she has visited is the Maldives – “because it will disappear in 80 years.”

Not everyone knows this about Dr. Liew, but she aspires to one day have a menagerie of rescue animals.
