Brian Yum, MD, attended New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, earning his medical degree in 2017. He went on to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, where he completed his residency in 2020. Afterward, he completed a Cardiology fellowship at Texas Heart Institute in Houston in 2024. Dr. Yum joined Kelsey-Seybold as a board-certified cardiologist in August 2024.

For Dr. Yum, becoming a physician allowed him to follow in the footsteps of his parents, who were in the medical field as pharmacists in Korea. As a cardiologist, his goal is to prevent, diagnose, and treat cardiovascular diseases so that his patients can be healthy enough to maximize doing things they love and spend more quality time with their loved ones. His clinical interests include general Cardiology and cardiac imaging such as echocardiography and cardiac CT scans. His favorite part of practicing medicine is connecting with and helping people through some of their toughest times.
