Dr. Ayesha Irani is a pediatrician who earned her Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2011. After graduation, she worked as a research associate in an Infectious Disease lab before attending medical school. Dr. Irani earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2018. She completed her Pediatrics residency at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School in 2021. She also completed additional training in lactation medicine to become an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Hobbies & Interests
Dr. Irani is a foodie and loves trying new restaurants. Her favorite part about moving back to Houston is steak night at various restaurants. She also enjoys cooking (but not cleaning), traveling (especially to tropical locations), and dancing.
Fun Facts
Dr. Irani’s favorite foods are soup dumplings and her mom’s dhansak (Parsi cuisine).
The best advice she has ever received is “A day without laughter is a day wasted.”
The most exotic place she has visited is Queenstown, New Zealand.
Not everyone knows this about Dr. Irani, but she’s the seventh woman doctor in her family.
